In March 2020, the National Trust—the UK charity that conserves historic places and areas of natural beauty—closed over 500 sites due to the COVID-19 lockdown. It gave architect George Clarke the chance to explore their grand stately homes and estates, quirky cottages, and glorious gardens, including areas that are off limits to the public.
